This gizmo creates the effect of an invisible object moving over a background of your choosing.
Inputs:
FG: The object to become invisible.
Matte: An additional matte to use (will defualt to FG alpha channel)
BG: The background to be distorted.
Output:
The node will output the distorted RGBA pass over the BG as default.
This is what I used as a FG test element, A static sphere with a colourwheel and noise used as texture and the noise driving a distortion:
This is the result using a checkerboard on the BG input.
Edge Tab
Edge Distort On/Off: Turns the edge distortion on and off.
Edge Size Control:

Noise Blur: Softens the noise, creating softer distortion.
Core Distortion Control

Blur Amount: Controls how much the background is blurred based on the distortion.
Luminance Effect Amount: Controls how the luminance of the FG object Affects the distortion. The Brighter the image the more it get distorted.
