**update 2.2 = now has additional control for format and intensity of false colour effect**
I made this Gizmo to help with grade matching footage or elements into the comp.
There are techniques used in photoshop to help match elements of a comp ('Helper' or 'False colour' layers) - As part of my nuke learning, i wanted to create a gizmo that would be useful for anyone coming to nuke from PS background.
Essentially, these are the same 'False Color' or 'Helper' filters (to those used in photoshop) to help match plates colour, luminosity and saturation.
(full details on how the tool works on my website: http://www.gavinwhittaker.info/post/gradematching
Use case:
Place this gizmo after the merge of elements. Then whilst viewing this node; do your grading or colour correction using your favourite tools upstream to match colour, tone and value.
these videos explain the process (they are using photoshop but the process of matching is the same) *Not my videos - credit to Antti Karppinen*
